NEW CAMPUS PROJECT, April 2010
Some very exciting news! After more than four years of work we have finalized plans to move Wellspring to a
new campus! We have just purchased a building and 30 acres in North Tunbridge and have completed
permitting, engineering and architectural plans to convert this building and property into our future home.
We are working with Randolph National Bank to finance the project while we fundraise and sell our current
Chelsea properties.
We have been working with Maryanne Thompson Architects, Cambridge, MA to envision renovations to this
8,400 square foot building to include two large early childhood and five grades’ classrooms; three
multipurpose rooms; a kitchen/project area; large
office conference area; school store and inviting
entrances and parent mailbox and drop off areas. We
have chosen John Parker Construction as our
enthusiastic and highly skilled contractor, with
expectations to begin construction in early April.
The Capital Campaign Committee completed a “quiet
phase” fundraising campaign in December, which
raised $100,775. This helps to trigger additional funds
from New Hampshire Charitable Foundation
bringing to total gifts committed to this project so far
to over $370,000! In addition we plan to market our
Chelsea properties and embark on a capital campaign
to raise an additional $600,000. The Campaign kickoff
will be at the new campus on Saturday April 10th when we will hold a celebratory event for our school
community, new Tunbridge neighbors and press.
We have a big challenge ahead to raise funds to pay down our purchase and renovation loans, but we are
optimistic that our many supporters will see this project as we do–an incredible opportunity for the School’s
future.
Wellspring is a strong community-based school and, as such, will look to volunteers among our School
community to help bring this vision to reality. If you would like to help out in any way or have ideas about the
new space to share, please contact Jack Rossi at 802-457-2686 or jack@jackrossi.com.
Sincerely,
The New Campus Carrying Group
