Village View from Tunbridge Schoolhouse

Commissioned and Donated to the
Wellspring Waldorf School
By Sabra Field

In 2010 the Wellspring Waldorf School purchased the Hook Building in Tunbridge, Vermont. This building and the town of Tunbridge will be our new home very soon.
At the outset of the Capital Fundraising Campaign, Sabra Field, world renowned Vermont Artist, decided to leave her legacy with Wellspring in great appreciation for the experience her granddaughter Tess had at the school.

Known for her relief prints, Sabra set about on a new project. Through the woods and over the hills she went, touring historic schoolhouses with Euclid Farnham, life long resident of Tunbridge and Wendy Palthey, Wellspring parent and Tunbridge resident. They came upon a schoolhouse with a beautiful view of the fairgrounds and village. This was the inspiration for the print “Village View from Tunbridge Schoolhouse.”

In honor of Kate Winslow, Tess’ teacher during her years at Wellspring, Sabra has generously given her time, exquisite artwork and the rights to this print to our school. Wellspring will be able to fundraise for many years to come with this original print.

Our school community is eternally grateful to Sabra for her heartfelt gift to our little and very special school.
